“There are worldwide concerns about global warming and climate change, and we want to be a part of the global solution.”

These words of Kuya Daniel Razon followed the launch of ADD-a-Tree Global Tree Planting Project, an initiative which constitutes Kuya Daniel’s Isang Araw Lang (Just One Day) advocacy for change.

When the world first saw the birth of this advocacy for the environment last October 2010, almost 72,000 trees were planted by at least 24,000 volunteer participants. Nothing like the other tree-planting initiatives, the project focuses not only in planting trees but also in nurturing them until they grow to serve their purpose. This also includes reforestation of landmark areas provided by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in Philippines regions and some land areas abroad.

In these days and since ADD-A-Tree is not a one-time bigtime project, several tree planting activies are still being pushed through in different areas of the country. The project also answers deforestation and serves to make a step in preventing possible landslides and mudslides and floods that we have been living through in our country over the recent past.
