To provide help to the victims of the Taal Volcano eruption, Kuya Daniel Razon announced a benefit sports activity dubbed as ‘Wish Olympics’ during the Wish 107.5 Music Awards held on January 19 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The one-day charity affair will take place at the Smart Araneta Center on Sunday, February 23.

BMPI CEO and President Kuya Daniel Razon, the man behind the innovations of the station, said that the charitable sports activity aims to raise funds for thousands of families affected by the volcanic eruption in the CALABARZON region.

“That’s the primary thing that we want to do — to be able to continue our charity works, public services to our fellowmen,” said Kuya Daniel during the station’s music award event.

Ready to Play and Help

“We are always ready as long as it’s about helping our fellowmen. We saw how Kuya Daniel is helping thousands of people, which inspired us to do good as well,” said hip-hop artist Flict-G.

Meanwhile, Original Pilipino Music (OPM) artists expressed their excitement for the event happening on February 23, wherein a musical showdown will commence before they engage in sports, specifically basketball and volleyball.

Musical artist Pricetagg also expressed his enthusiasm to perform for the cause.

“I am very much willing to support Wish’s advocacy for our fellowmen who were affected by the recent calamity,” the battle rapper stated.

Kuya Daniel also stated that the station’s fundraising event is an addition to the ongoing relief operations and medical missions of UNTV News and Rescue for the families affected by the eruption.

A Trailblazer in the Music Industry

Wish 107.5 has been maintaining a wish-granting advocacy for years since the station’s official launch in 2014.

Wish Music Awards aims to pay tribute to acts and artists who have given significant contributions to the local music scene. The award-giving event incorporates the concept of wish-granting, wherein winners of major categories get to choose the beneficiaries of their cash rewards.

The station has been making waves in the entertainment industry, such as the Wishclusives on the Wish Bus, which features the filmed concert-level radio gigs of artists. It highlights local and global performing acts that serve as a crowning moment, putting nothing but pure talent in the spotlight.

Another one is the Wishcovery talent search, which scouts amateur talents for the country’s next singing sensation, who has phenomenal music spirit and star-like charisma.
