It’s not only the price and the charity work that echoes the success of the first UNTV Cup but count also the participation of the players of the seven teams.

UNTV Cup will hold its opening ceremonies and first game of the season on July 29 this year at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum, a breakthrough for UNTV to host the country’s first basketball-for-charity league on TV.

Two hundred twenty-five La Verdad Christian College scholars marched to receive their diplomas at the end of the school year 2012-2013. The college graduates include 154 from Apalit campus and 71 from Caloocan City branch.

Coinciding with its first year celebration in the airwaves, UNTV Radio La Verdad was named the “Most Supportive Radio Station” by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) recently.

Veteran broadcaster Daniel Razon is hosting a new radio program called “Dear Kuya” airing daily over UNTV Radio La Verdad 1350, marking the fulfillment of his long-time advocacy about bringing the ‘glory of radio’ back in the mainstream.

Through the program called Aksyon ni Kuya, a free short course that was started this month of January, the veteran broadcast journalist aims to send hopeful learners from poor families to vocational schools without worrying about the expenses attached to studying a vocational course.

Following the launch of UNTV Mobile Radio and Student Hour earlier last year, Kuya Daniel continues to expand his student journalism project with more trainings to empower youth students for more community-centered reporting.

Knowing his dedication to public service works, Kuya Daniel Razon recently launched the BMPI Recording Studio that the veteran broadcaster stressed was geared for the purpose of sustaining the public service initiatives started at UNTV.
