Will Smith’s true-to-life film, The Pursuit of Happyness, inspired the foundation of the Philippines’ first transient home. Realizing that the homeless life of one salesman in San Francisco is true to many Filipinos, Kuya Daniel Razon envisioned to build a temporary shelter for the transients.

On October 29, 2008, Kuya Daniel made his dream come true. The Kamanggagawa Foundation, Inc. (KFI) Transient Home was inagaurated and became a refuge to homeless families and individuals. The transient home provides sleeping beds and free meals to transients.

With Kamanggagawa Foundation, Inc. and Bro. Eli Soriano of Members Church of God International, Kuya Daniel sustains the operation of the two transient homes located in Quezon City and Apalit, Pampanga.
