Second Gintong Palad Public Service Award for Kuya Daniel Razon

For two consecutive years, the Movie Writers Welfare Foundation has found Daniel Razon’s broadcasting mettle and public service efforts worthy of a Gintong Palad Public Service for Broadcasting.

MWWF has partnered with the Rotary Club of Intramuros to honor the year’s excellent works in the broadcast and public service through this event held recently at the Ilustrado Function Hall in Intramuros, Manila.

MWWF is a non-profit group whose goal is to improve the well-being of the members of the entertainment press.

The Movie Writers Welfare Foundation and Rotary Club of Intramuros award Kuya Daniel Razon another Gintong Palad Public Service for Broadcasting in honor of his excellent works in broadcasting and public service.

More popularly known as Kuya Daniel, the veteran broadcaster whose advocacy is aligned with that of the foundation, was this year recognized for promoting the culture of sharing by means of public services through UNTV.

Kuya Daniel is the Chief Executive Officer of Breakthrough and Milestones Productions International (BMPI), the content provider for UNTV.

Other awardees this year include Senator Tito Sotto and Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista for their works in the government.

From the entertainment sector, Imelda Papin, newly-wed celebrities Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, and Piolo Pascual all received their Gintong Palad, respectively. Actress Angel Locsin also received her second award for her volunteer works.

To enliven the awarding ceremony, Faith Cuneta and Miguel Castro performed some of their best repertoire selections.
