Daniel Razon named Rotary Club’s Rock awardee and Chairman for TV

It takes service rendered above self without measure and beyond the call of duty for a Rotarian to get into the roster of the Rock Hall of Fame.

The Rotary Club of Kamuning recently named Daniel Razon as its second recipient of the Rock award. It was also announced during the awarding ceremony held last July 31 at the Quezon City Sports Club that Razon would also become the new Chairman for TV (Public Image) of RI District 3780.

Razon was credited by the Club for his contribution in the holding of the simultaneous nationwide medical mission of the Rotarians in District 3780, where up to 10 rotary districts in the Philippines were able to participate in the philantrophic activity.

The Club also took note of Rotary in Action, his brainchild television show aired over UNTV 37. This program features the various humanitarian works of the Club to help build a good public image of the international organization. The show helped established Rotary Club’s credibility in building better communities.

The show gained accolades from Rotary International in Bali, Indonesia last December 2011, earning a public relations award in recognition of its being the first such TV show dedicated to Rotarians.

Rotary in Action is being aired at UNTV every Wednesday, 7:00-8:00 p.m.

With Razon’s appointment as chair of the public relations for TV, the club is also confident that its good image to the public will be improved.

Aside from the role of chairmanship, the broadcast journalist will also assist the district governor in the administration of clubs in RI District 3780. As of June 2010, the district has 96 of the 34,000 clubs worldwide.

Kuya Daniel, as he is publicly known, is a member of the Rotary Club of Kamuning since October 2001.
