This 12th edition of People’s Day marked an outstanding first year of the UNTV Action Center, reaching out to different communities to alleviate their social services and medical need. Each barangay visit records at least 1,000 beneficiaries.

The free medical adult and pediatric consultations recorded 310 recipients while 284 benefited from optical and dental services. Hundreds more enjoyed free haircut and massage, legal assistance, and laboratory tests such as random blood sugar (RBS), electrocardiogram (ECG), and chest x-ray.

PhilHealth also took their mobile services to the venue to provide information on member registration, Insurance Corporation processing, and updating of membership.

While in queue, residents also enjoyed a free viewing of Isang Araw, a movie directed and starred by Kuya Daniel Razon.

This 12th People’s Day also marks the year-long public service partnership between UNTV and its partner organizations. UNTV thanked for this effort the support of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), CMO Batallion (NCR) Philippine Army, Fatima University Medical Center, PhilHealth, I-Learn, and Kabaka Foundation.

Also key partners in all of UNTV’s public service efforts are the Kamanggagawa Foundation, Inc. (KFI) and the Members Church of God International (MCGI) whose Overall Servant Bro. Eli Soriano hosts Ang Dating Daan (The Old Path) that airs on UNTV.

People’s Day is a project launched by Kuya Daniel through UNTV and is a part of his Kahit Isang Araw Lang (Just One Day) advocacy that encourages people to do good even for a day.

The 13th People’s Day is set on February 27, 2015 at Barangay Ugong, Valenzuela City.
